Ready to perform: Children's entertainer Deano Yipadee will soon be in Shepparton.

Stink-o-saurus by Deano Yipadee, who will be in Shepparton on September 13.

Award-winning children’s entertainer and author Deano Yipadee will delight audiences when he visits Shepparton with his new book Stink-o-saurus.

Mr Yipadee — also known as Deano O’Brien — has topped the United Kingdom’s children’s best sellers charts many times.

He has worked as a writer on Bob the Builder and Thomas the Tank Engine and has spent the past few years touring with presenters from BBC’s CBeebies.

With such a variety of writing talents it is no wonder Mr Yipadee loves writing books and performing songs to children.

His tour Happy I’m Me kicked off in Australia through the support of Collins Booksellers and will see him performing and talking about his new book Stink-o-saurus next week.

For Mr Yipadee, being a children’s author is a dream come true.

‘‘I had this idea of empowering children through music,’’ he said.

‘‘I love being creative ... and love the response from the kids and their parents.

‘‘It’s the best job in the world. I’m so lucky to be doing what I love.’’

Deano Yipadee will perform a free show at Collins Booksellers, 262 Maude St, Shepparton, on Wednesday, September 13, at 4.30pm.

For more information, phone Collins Booksellers Shepparton on 58222679.
