‘Night of nights’ on stage

Students go on stage for the finale of Lights, Camera, Action dancing to

Applause and laughter could be heard at Riverlink’s Eastbank Centre for Bourchier St Primary School’s senior production Lights, Camera, Action on Tuesday.

The musical featured singing and dancing from movie soundtracks and featured iconic songs from films such as Ghostbusters, Jailhouse Rock, Men in Black, The Rocky Horror Picture Show and Flashdance.

Close to 150 students were involved with the production, which was presented on stage as an movie awards night.

‘‘We had lots of great feedback from staff and family and it’s good to see the students’ hard work paid off,’’ teacher and production director Ryan Gleeson said.

‘‘It was great fun for the students and many were having their first experience on stage.’’
