Initial Stages actors take to the stage for a dress rehearsal.

Those attending this year’s Riverlinks season launch will be treated to a performance from Initial Stages’ Les Misérables, a taster of performances from Shepparton Theatre Arts Group and acapella group, Ginger and Tonic.

The venue has invited patrons and those interested in theatre, live shows and performances to come along to its 2018 season launch on Monday at Riverlinks Eastbank, Shepparton.

Performing arts and conventions manager Ken Cameron looked forward to sharing the coming season with loyal supporters as well as those who may not yet have experienced a show at Eastbank or WestSide.

‘‘We hope that we have developed a program that offers our patrons some of the best and most interesting performing arts experiences available,’’ he said.

‘‘There will be music from orchestral to soul, theatre from Australian classics to well-loved comedy, and a couple of very different musicals.

‘‘We are delighted to launch a series of cabaret shows where we turn Riverlinks Eastbank into an alluring venue of colour and curiosity, bringing audiences something just a little bit different.’’

Guests will be entertained at the event by Rachael Howard and Matt Head before official proceedings start.

Admission is free, but bookings are essential for catering purposes.

The season launch starts at 6.45pm for the pre-launch function in the courtyard, followed by official proceedings from 7.30pm at Riverlinks Eastbank, 70 Welsford St, Shepparton on Monday.
