Skills: Tom Nelson, 8, mastered the skill of Poi.

Plate pros: Tatura's Sebastian Skinner, 9, had a crack at plate spinning.

Big smiles: Indie-Rose Davis, 5, of Shepparton showed off her hula-hooping skills.

Colour and co-ordination were on show in Mooroopna as children and adults practiced their circus skills last Thursday.

About 20 people of all ages attended the event at Stevens Cres Park.

As part of the Activities in the Park program, entertainment provider Enchanted Rainbow taught participants a range of skills including plate spinning, stilt walking, juggling and more.

‘‘It’s a great opportunity for us to showcase what we do and to make use of local parks,’’ Enchanted Rainbow Entertainment owner Shelley Davis said.

Other than circus skills, Enchanted Rainbow is hosting a number of Activities in the Park events, such as hula hooping, box car making and nature craft.

‘‘We looked into what we can offer and what the program requires and just went from there,’’ Ms Davis said.

‘‘We’ve still got heaps more events coming up.’’

The event was coupled with a barbecue generously catered by Mooroopna Men’s Shed and Mooroopna Community Planning Committee.
