The Waaia Tractor Pull celebrates its 10th year on Saturday.
Waaia Tractor Pull committee president Nathan Binks said the event did not happen without the support of its sponsors.
‘‘This year the Bendigo Community Bank and Rural Bank have come on board as major sponsors, along with Haeuslers and a generous grant from the Moira Shire,’’ Mr Binks said.
He said Waaia residents had decided the town was the new home of tractor pulls.
‘‘We always have a great list of tractors compete each year and 2018 is no exception,’’ he said.
‘‘The local competitors Plum Crazy and Beats Work’n will be on the track and local Berrigan favourite Riverina Sceamer is back with a vengeance this season.
‘‘The committee is fresh and keen after taking a break last year and have everything in place for a great event.’’
Funds raised from the event are donated back into the community and growth of the town.
The Waaia Tractor Pull is on the Waaia-Bearii Rd, with the gates opening at 2pm Saturday for a 3pm start. Full catering is available and the bar will be open. No BYO alcohol or glass.
Entry is $60 a family, $25 for adults, $10 for aged pensioners, $5 for children under-18 and free for under-5.
