Good gin, delicious food and quality entertainment was on offer at Gin on the Lawn on Sunday afternoon.

About 200 people filled the lawns of Emerald Bank’s The Woolshed to enjoy food and drinks in the sunshine.

Shepparton Festival chair Fiona Smolenaars said this was the second year they had run the event and they had received great feedback from guests.

‘‘The event has been a huge success ... it is an easy day for everyone,’’ she said.

‘‘Last year it was at Turnbull’s Orchard and we are changing things up this year, having it at The Woolshed.’’

The event was extended from last year, running from from 2.30pm to 8.30pm, with guests treated to a gin bar, buffet and three sets of artists.

Ms Smolenaars said tickets sold fast, with the event attracting people from Melbourne for the long weekend.

‘‘We will absolutely be back next year,’’ she said.

‘‘It’s another great festival event and the fact that we’re partnering with so many great groups, local business and organisations is fantastic.

‘‘It’s about who we are as a community and people who appreciate good art, good music, good food and good gin.’’
