April 24, 2018

Show and Shine committee members John Attwood, Ross Smith and Graeme Smith and chairman Anthony Oliver are ready for the big event.

TJ’s IGA Nathalia Show and Shine and Swap Meet is on again at Nathalia Recreation Reserve on Sunday.

Gates open from 8am and Show and Shine chairman Anthony Oliver is hoping for a big turnout at the event.

‘‘This is our fourth event and we get over 300 cars,’’ Mr Oliver said.

Sponsored by insurer Shannons, there will be 12 different prizes to be won, with judging starting at 11am and presentations from noon. A Samsung 127cm smart TV and Samsung sound bar will be awarded to the major prize winner

‘‘There’s 10 different categories with Shannons sponsoring ‘Shannons Car of the Show’ and ‘Shannons Best Local Event’ and various other entrants,’’ Mr Oliver said.

Food vendor vans and coffee will be available on the day along with a major raffle and children’s entertainment.

‘‘The oldest vehicles we get is the T-Model Ford from 1900s up to current models from 2018, so if you’ve got a car you’re proud of, show it,’’ Mr Oliver said.

Money raised from the show will go back into the Nathalia community.

Show entry is $5, including spectators and car entry.
