Primary school students have joined forces with Mooroopna Secondary College students to perform a musical showcase.

Mooroopna Secondary music teacher Leona Gibbs said the concert was held in the WestSide Performing Arts Centre in Mooroopna on Thursday and involved about 90 students from six different schools.

She said the concert was a chance for Years 5 and 6 students from Mooroopna Primary, Mooroopna Park Primary, Dhurringile Primary, Tatura Primary and Harston Primary to take part in their first musical showcase.

Ms Gibbs said the Mooroopna Secondary instrumental music co-ordinator Lindy Tennant had put a lot of time and work in to organising the musical pieces and rehearsing with the students.

She said the junior students had rehearsed for about 10 weeks in preparation for the performance.
