Music lovers braved the cold winter nights on Friday and Saturday to attend The Winter Sessions at The Vault in Shepparton.
This was the second of five weekend events across the winter months, giving people an intimate and cosy space to enjoy some food and drinks, experiencing a night out while escaping the cold.
The weekend’s performers were Boulevard, Jessica Lorraine Trio, GoDogGo and Ash Beks.
Created as an initiative to support regional talent, event organiser Jamie Lea was delighted with the positive response so far.
‘‘It’s a privilege to have everyone in the room and to have such a diverse and electric line-up on the stage,’’ Ms Lea said.
This season is the first time The Winter Sessions have been organised across Friday and Saturday nights.
Ms Lea said the Friday night event tended to be a mix of people as ‘‘it’s the place to be’’, while Saturday seemed to be more about music appreciation.
‘‘On Saturdays you could hear a pin drop during the performances because people are really getting into it,’’ she said.
‘‘It’s so respectful and really encouraging.
‘‘Thank you to the musicians and to those who continue to come back.’’
The Winter Sessions is at The Vault, 170 Maude St, Shepparton.
On Friday, doors open at 5.30pm and on Saturday at 6pm.
Reserved table seating is $27.50 per person, lounge/standing room tickets are $22.
